Damascan Blush is the perfect name for this serene, desert coloured room. The bathroom is stunning with such loving attention to detail. I cannot wait to come back next year.

What inspired this name?
The honeysuckle, damask colours of the desert and the mystery of Damascus, one of the oldest cities of the world. Known as the City of Jasmin, which is also a flower that perfumes Dar Jaguar at night.
Set off the beautiful Dar Jaguar courtyard, Damascan Blush has twin beds or a double bed, a black ammonite marble console table, lavish silk cushions and exquisite pastel coloured Syrian hanging lights.
I hid this dreamily soft ochre-desert room behind a heavy antique brass studded cedar wood door.
This is the most wonderfully nurturing colour for a bedroom. I find that there is something immediately sleep-inducing about it. It was also the hardest colour to achieve for the tadlekt on the walls. Just as it is virtually impossible to capture the colours of the desert, so it seemed with the particular shade I wanted for the walls. Too much yellow… then too much pink – the desert is neither of these colours and yet moves through them both. Perfectly tranquil and relaxing for your Marrakech holidays.
Damascan Blush’s Bathroom is one of my favourites. I particularly love the combination of gun-metal grey polished tadlekt with the antique brass taps, mirrors, knobs and knockers… It has a huge gun metal grey central tadlekt bath set between two matching tadlekt basins and a pair of tall elegant brass mirrors.
