TESTIMONIALS
You can truly feel that the owner has put her heart and soul into Dar Jaguar. From the exquisite attention to detail in the stylish decor to the beautifully presented and delicious food; from the care the owner takes making personal contact with you at the start of your adventure to the staff for whom nothing is too much trouble – this is an absolute jewel in the medina.
JasminWe’ve never stayed anywhere that took some much care over us. What superlatives cover a hotel manager who walks one of your 10 year old boys through the souks hand in hand in search of the best knives and spices, books you all the best restaurants at the last minute, takes you to the best places to shop, and is then sympathetic when you haven’t got as good prices as she would have done…? Stunning interiors and bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms with deep plaster baths, perfect breakfasts on the roof terrace – cinnamon toast to die for. Only 100 yards from the main souk. We’ve been to Marrakech before and couldn’t recommend this more highly.

GarethThis is my 3rd trip to Dar Jaguar and I’m happy to say I love it as much always. It never ceases to amaze me how peaceful it is when it is a stone’s throw away from the craziness of the main square. Personal favourites are breakfast on the terrace to the sound of birds (fresh fruits and fruit juice, homemade pancakes – not on my no carb diet list but too delicious to refuse) and candlelit evenings in the courtyard to the tinkling of the fountain. The staff are as charming as always and nothing is too much trouble. This time I booked a massage which was great. I’d definitely recommend eating at the riad – Moroccan food is all about home cooked and this is as good as you’ll find. Thank you for another beautiful stay. Until next year.
JustinThis surpassed all expectations… We have been to Marrakech several times and love the whole riad, rather than hotel, experience. Dar Jaguar really has something extra special. We arrived in the early evening and the courtyard had been fragranced with frankincense and lit with what felt like hundreds of atmospheric candles around the stunning fountain that they had filled with roses… The staff prepared one of the best meals we have had at any riad that night and when we went back to our exotic suite, Babylonian Vamp, they had even put hot water bottles in our beds as it was a chilly night. We came to expect a simpler service at such smaller family-run riads – especially when they are a fraction of the price of the hotels – but Dar Jaguar really delivered over and above our expectations.
EricI don’t think I have ever been anywhere so dreamy and romantic as Dar Jaguar. My boyfriend and I fell further in love here and he proposed to me during our stay. This riad will forever hold a special place in my heart and we shall be back to celebrate our honeymoon.
Alexander and RebeccaMy boyfriend and I recently stayed 5 nights at Dar Jaguar. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The location in the Medina is moments away from an array of cafes, restaurants and the myriad of souks. If you love style, character, charm and to be staying in the heart of the action, then this is the place for you! All the staff are so gracious and friendly and went out of their way to provide us with helpful tips on things to do and see in the area and how to get around. The 3 course dinner at Dar Jaguar on our first evening was top quality and the best we enjoyed during our visit. We were amazed at the peace and quiet inside…a real sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Jamaa el-Fnaa, just a minute’s walk from the hotel itself. A beautiful fountain in the courtyard only added to the tranquillity. We were spoilt from start to finish and by the end of our stay, felt the Dar Jaguar was a home from home. Longing to return already and introduce others to its charms!
